Farm and Landowners

Solar panels for farm & landowners
Renewable technologies are an exciting way farmers and land managers can mitigate climate change, generate a new income stream for their business and even deal with waste or produce a useful by-product. The introduction of the Feed in Tariff has provided a significant opportunity for landowners and farmers. Due to the associate economies of scale due to larger projects often being possible and an increasing likelihood of an existing 3 phase grid connection point, the scale benefits for agricultural and rural projects are often larger than domestic properties.

A south-facing building with a roof pitch of between 30-40° is ideal.  However anything between south-east and south-west or with a shallower pitch will still give at least 95% of peak performance. Alternatively,  a ground mounted array can be a better option where suitable roof space is limited or access is a problem.

With experience in retrofit installations on barn roofs Solargains offers a complete project management service from initial site survey, design options, installation, investment returns and monitoring systems.
